The design draws on the ancient symbol of the Ouroboros—the serpent representing eternity, cyclical time and transformation. Here, it is rendered not as a destructive force, but as a guardian: its emerald body encircles the composition, suggesting continuous movement and contained energy.
At its heart rests the 68.57-carat Ural Alexandrite—an object that is not only rare but historically resonant. Comparable stones are no longer mined, and the last significant discoveries date back to the era of the Romanov dynasty.
The Alexandrite is set within an open lotus motif composed of diamonds and emeralds, a symbolic reference to spiritual awakening and the passage from form to essence.
The composition is further complemented by 48 Colombian pear-shaped emeralds. The total weight of all gemstones in the necklace amounts to 226.98 carats.
Immortal unites three of the world's most coveted gemstone sources in a single work of jewellery. The central alexandrite — from the depleting Ural mines of Russia — displays the stone's legendary colour shift from deep green in daylight to purplish red under incandescent light. Framing it: a carved Russian emerald of 120.34 carats, and 48 Colombian emeralds of Vivid Green saturation.
Each element was individually examined and certified by ICA GemLab in Bangkok (Report #174559, October 2024) — one of the world's leading independent gemological laboratories.
